Change of Address in Ontario

When moving to Canada, or even just to a new province, it can feel a bit daunting when it comes time to get your Driver's Licence updated. Each province has it's own set of explicit guidelines for each citizen to follow; they do this because the licenses are issued by each individual province's government. While most of the information is different, some is the same. For instance, in most provinces you must be eighteen years old to gain a full license. The other unifying aspect of Canadian Driver's Licences is that they may be used in the states and many other countries because of the numerous international pacts Canada holds.

You will need to change the address on your Ontario Driver's Licence as soon as your residency changes. If you do not change the address you will be subject to not receiving any government documents if they should need to contact you. This is such a simple process it's silly to not just go and get it over with as soon as your address changes.
